These Were the Best Emmy 2019 Jewelry Looks

Statement necklaces, a major Cartier cuff and hair jewels made for a bling-filled purple carpet.

“Euphoria” actress Zendaya wore this Cartier “Agrafe” cuff bracelet in 18-karat white gold with diamonds to the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards, held Sunday in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles—Television’s current golden era, courtesy of an ever-increasing amount of streaming service content, makes for some really good red carpet fashion.

Television’s abundant mood trickled onto Sunday’s 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards’ purple carpet, with actresses and actors bringing their best jewelry looks.
Here’s the cream of the crop.

Arguably television’s biggest breakout star of 2019 is “Euphoria” actress Zendaya, no last name needed. She sported one of the night’s boldest, most visible jewelry looks courtesy of a mega-watt cuff.
Bedecked in Cartier, the HBO series lead wore the French jewelry house’s “Agrafe” cuff bracelet in 18-karat white gold with diamonds, “Panthère de Cartier” earrings in 18-karat white gold with emeralds, onyx and diamonds and the “Galanterie de Cartier” ring in 18-karat white gold with black lacquer, emerald and diamond. The touch of emeralds perfectly accented Zendaya’s green Vera Wang gown.

Viola Davis made the case that more is more in layers of Forevermark necklaces paired with a classic black and white Alberta Feretti dress.
The actress donned three Rahaminov for Forevermark diamond and 18-karat white gold necklaces at varying lengths for full effect, plus a major Rahaminov for Forevermark oval-cut diamond ring. Forevermark also was responsible for the actress’s princess-cut diamond studs earrings; they’re from the brand’s Red Carpet collection.

For reality star Kim Kardashian West, her choice of a black velvet Vivienne Westwood gown was relatively safe and demure. Like Davis, she amped up her sophisticated number with three diamond necklaces.
Kardashian West’s had a street-style edge to them, however. She paired two large chain-link pavé diamond styles with a super bling-y cross necklace.

“Fosse/Verdon” actress Margaret Qualley was elegant in head-to-toe Chanel from the fall 2019 haute couture collection, wearing a black gown with white belt.
Naturally, Chanel Fine Jewelry was responsible for the actress’ jewels. Qualley wore the label’s “Ruban” bracelet, “Comète” earrings and ring, all in 18-karat white gold with diamonds.

Like Qualley, Sophie Turner represented her design house of choice in both gown and jewels.
The “Game of Thrones” actress was a vision in pink courtesy of Louis Vuitton dress (also belted) and had, perhaps, the most impactful jewelry look of the night in a Louis Vuitton 18-karat white gold and diamond collar with sweeping design and ring, both from the high jewelry collection.

Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali gave a master class in men’s style at the awards, with an emphasis on how to accessorize.
His sleek Ermenegildo Zegna green and black suit was made that much more interesting by addition of some Oliver Peoples shades, light enough to read “cool” rather than “diva,” and a lapel pin in the shape of an insect.

Busy Phillips is an Irene Neuwirth devotee and the relationship continued to bloom (pun intended) on Sunday night’s purple carpet.
Phillips sported 2019’s biggest jewelry trend—hair jewelry—in the form of Neuwirth’s one-of-a-kind flower hairpins in 18-karat gold with carved chalcedony and green tourmaline, carved pink opal and green tourmaline, and carved tanzanite and green tourmaline.
She also wore Neuwirth’s carved chalcedony and Akoya pearl earrings and an opal and diamond pavé ring.

Busy Phillips wasn’t having all the Neuwirth whimsical fun.
“Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus matched her gold gown with delightful 18-karat yellow and white gold floral Neuwirth earrings set with 10 carats of opal and 4.94 carats of diamonds, plus a green beryl and diamond pavé ring.

Naomi Watts was the epitome of elegance in a belted (notice a trend here?) black Dior gown with sheer overlay.
The classic silhouette demanded equally classic jewels but left room for some fun. That came courtesy of Harry Winston’s “Secret Combination” diamond sautoir, which Watts wore sloping down her bare back.
She paired it with Harry Winston emerald-cut diamond stud earrings and a ring from the jewelry house.

Actress Jameela Jamil (“The Good Place”) had a matchy-matchy moment, accenting her turquoise gown with a slew of turquoise jewels.
She relied on David Webb’s “Orbit” earrings in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum with cabochon turquoise, emeralds and diamonds, as well as the American jewelry house’s 18-karat yellow gold and platinum cuff with oval cabochon turquoise and round brilliant-cut diamonds for jewels that could compete with her voluminous gown.
On her right hand, she appeared to sport a large aquamarine ring with round brilliant-cut diamonds on the shank, designer unknown.

Emilia Clarke also opted for David Webb, picking colorful pieces to liven up her navy dress.
The “Game of Thrones” actress wore cabochon opal drop earrings in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum with fluted cabochon sapphires, brilliant-cut diamonds and green enamel, plus the “Grand Central” ring in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum with cabochon opal, brilliant-cut diamonds and green enamel.
