92-Carat Heart-Shaped Diamond Pendant Could Sell for $20M
“La Légende” leads the upcoming Magnificent Jewels sale at Christie’s Geneva.

Geneva--A 92.15-carat heart-shaped diamond will headline the upcoming jewelry auction at Christie’s Geneva.
At the auction house’s Magnificent Jewels sale on May 17, the heart-shaped, D color, flawless diamond will be offered suspended from a cultured pearl sautoir necklace in a piece called “La Légende.”
It is estimated to sell for between $14 and $20 million.
Boehmer et Bassenge created “La Légende.” The high jewelry house was launched just last year in honor of Charles Boehmer and Paul Bassenge, Parisian jewelers from the 18th century, and will produce just a few pieces every year.
Some of Boehmer et Bassenge’s first jewels already have appeared at auction.
The upcoming Christie’s Geneva auction features more than 250 lots, including one JAR piece, two ruby and diamond pieces once owned by Elizabeth Taylor, and a collection of Cartier and Art Déco pieces put together by the late Cartier expert Éric Nussbaum.
It also will include a second piece from Boehmer et Bassenge.
“La Vie Bohème” is a pair of chandelier ear pendants featuring marquise-cut diamonds weighing approximately 10.07 and 10.05 carats suspended from white pear-shaped diamonds and asymmetrical pink diamond bows.
Each stone is D color and flawless with perfectly symmetrical cuts.
The earrings are estimated to sell for between $2 million and $3 million.
Additionally, the “Dolce Vita” section of the sale focuses on Italian jewelry design from the 1900s to the present day from such brands and designers as Bulgari and Massoni.
