Designers were recognized in 12 categories, from platinum to pearls, before the evening ended with a new, retail-focused award.
Ringly Expands Aries Collection for Spring
The new styles feature more metals and gems, including howlite and amazonite, but no new technology.

New York--Smart jewelry brand Ringly is launching new rings and bracelet styles this spring.
It has extended the Aries collection with new metal colors--a shiny gold, rose gold and silver--and new gemstones--howlite, white moonstone, amazonite and purple jade.
The brand’s new spring styles are available now on its website and are priced at $165.
Ringly began as a ring that could alert wearers to incoming texts, calls and other notifications via vibrations or subtle light settings.
In its next round of product launch, Ringly added a bracelet that’s an activity tracker, helping wearers monitor their steps, distance and calories burned, as well as set and manage their own personal health goals.
Ringly integrates with more than 100 apps, enabling the user to choose their most important alerts.
“We believe your jewelry should not only be beautiful, but also smart,” founder and CEO Christina Mercando d’Avignon said. “Whether at the dinner table, out with friends or in an important meeting, Ringly allows you to stay on top of your daily activity and mobile alerts so you never miss a beat, but aren’t glued to your phone.”
The company has been launching new designs and collections seasonally from the start, mimicking how new pieces from regular jewelry brands are launched and adding bracelets to its lineup last spring.
The new styles for spring don’t feature any new technology, though.
In October 2015, Ringly partnered with MasterCard when the latter announced its NFC wallet payment technology, but the wearable tech brand has yet to add the capability to its products.
When contacted by National Jeweler, a spokesperson for Ringly declined to comment on when that would happen.
