JTV Sponsoring Reality Show on Lifetime
It’s part of a push to introduce JTV to a younger demographic.

Knoxville, Tenn.--Jewelry Television is playing a role in a new Lifetime reality show.
It’s one of the sponsors of “American Beauty Star,” a competition series hosted by supermodel Adriana Lima, in which 12 hair and makeup artists face off in a series of judged challenges until one winner remains.
JTV will have a prominent role in the series each week, the company said. As the contestants create their hair and makeup looks on models, they will adorn their work with jewelry from the “JTV.com Accessory Wall.”
Additionally, one week will feature a challenge dedicated to JTV, in which the contestants create looks inspired by pieces of jewelry.
The winner of that challenge will receive $10,000 worth of jewelry from JTV, as will the ultimate winner of the series.
Vice President of Marketing Jill Johnson commented, “This sponsorship of ‘American Beauty Star’ is a great opportunity for JTV to align with a new series that complements our brand and product offering.
“As we look for new ways to engage with consumers, especially those who are younger and new to JTV, the integration with ‘American Beauty Star’ will be an incredibly effective vehicle for JTV to not only capitalize on the anticipated popularity of the program but will help introduce JTV and all we have to offer to a new demographic of potential customers.”
“American Beauty Star” premiered on Lifetime on Sept. 21. It airs on Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. EST. Immediately after, JTV airs a program on its own channel, from 11:30 p.m. to 12 a.m., discussing the jewelry featured in the show.
JTV is launching a sweepstakes for viewers of the program to enter for a chance to win a trip for two to Los Angeles and receive a beauty makeover from an “American Beauty Star” contestant. The prize includes airfare and hotel for two, plus $1,000 cash, $1,000 worth of JTV jewelry and a Wolf jewelry travel case.
