New York--Jewelers of America now is accepting entries for its annual retailer design competition, the CASE Awards, which will be held at the JA New York Spring show in March.
The CASE Awards honor JA retail members that exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.
Entry forms will be accepted through Feb. 19. First-place winners will receive a $500 cash prize as well as national media exposure, among other prizes.
There are four categories in which jewelers can submit pieces--jewelry to $2,000 retail value; jewelry $2,001 to $5,000 retail value; jewelry $5,001 to $10,000 retail value; and jewelry over $10,000 retail value. JA will accept a maximum of 15 entries per category.
A panel of judges will evaluate entries based on overall design, marketability, practicality/wearability and quality of manufacture.
Accepted pieces must arrive at JA headquarters in New York from March 7 to 10. The competition will take place at the JA New York Spring show, March 13 to 15 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
For more information about the awards or to submit entries, visit the JA website.
“The CASE Awards celebrate the talent and expertise of independent Jewelers of America members,” JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte said. “There are a lot of talented jewelry designers and bench jewelers across the country, and we are proud to recognize their talents and extraordinary pieces of jewelry.”
