Fiera di Vicenza launches trade show in Dubai
Fiera di Vicenza S.p.A, the company that operates VicenzaOro, and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will premiere a new international jewelry tradeshow in Dubai next year.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates--Fiera di Vicenza S.p.A, the company that operates VicenzaOro, and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will premiere a new international jewelry tradeshow in Dubai next year.
The first Vicenzaoro Dubai, operated by the joint venture DV Global Link, is scheduled for April 23-26, 2015.
According to show organizers, launching the show in Dubai comes as a strategic move in Fiera di Vicenza’s global expansion plan.
The company also said that Dubai is ready for the show because the United Arab Emirates is a country with “high potential,” which has increased its demand for Italian luxury products in recent years.
“The agreement reached with DWTC to launch Vicenzaoro Dubai is a decisive turning point in our company’s internationalization strategy and defines a systemic union that is not just economically highly valuable, but also for its cultural interconnection with a very prestigious partner,” said Matteo Marzotto, president of Fiera di Vicenza.

Marzotto became president of Fiera di Vicenza at the end of 2013 replacing Paolo Mantovani who resigned following reported discord with show management.
Fiera di Vicenza also organizes the VicenzaOro tradeshows held in Italy three times a year. The news of Vicenza Dubai was announced during the spring show, which ended Tuesday.
Earlier this year, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council also launched a new show in Dubai, this one featuring more than 130 exhibitors.

The organizations said then that they thought Dubai was right for the show because the emirate has emerged as a leading global center for the gold, diamond and precious gemstone trade, along with its infrastructure including cargo facilities, ports and airports connected to more than 200 destinations.
