A ‘Hidden Garden’ Emerges in Tiffany & Co.’s 2026 Blue Book

Our Piece of the Week, the “Butterfly” necklace, showcases a 7.02-carat oval diamond set between diamond, platinum, and 18-karat gold wings.

Tiffany & Co. Blue Book 2026: Hidden Garden Butterfly Diamond Necklace
Tiffany & Co. enters a garden filled with flora and fauna for its 2026 Blue Book, “Hidden Garden.”

This year’s annual high jewelry collection explores nature’s most enchanting secret worlds, it said, with stories on butterflies, birds, bees, jasmine, palms, and other foliage.

For her fourth Blue Book, Senior Vice President and Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille and the Tiffany Design Studio again looked to Jean Schlumberger’s artistry of transforming flora and fauna into sculptural silhouettes.

“This collection—one of Tiffany & Co.’s most important traditions for over a century—honors the legacy of Jean Schlumberger while demonstrating how we continue to evolve it for today’s high jewelry client,” said Anthony Ledru, chief executive officer of Tiffany & Co.

A standout from the collection is our Piece of the Week, a diamond “Butterfly” necklace.

It is crafted from platinum with 18-karat yellow gold, which highlights an abstract wing motif along the necklace.

At its center is a 7.02-carat oval-cut diamond flanked by butterfly wings accented with additional diamonds as they appear to twist down in two drops.

The necklace is part of the first story in the Hidden Garden Blue Book.

Tiffany & Co. said it explored the insect in this story because it is a beloved motif in Tiffany & Co.’s history, creating these pieces as an homage to its 19th century butterfly motif.

Butterfly motifs have become increasingly trendy this year, coinciding with the floral motif trend that has bloomed in time for spring.

Pinterest noted in its 2026 “Pinterest Predicts” trend report that searches for “bug jewelry” are up 60 percent. Specifically, it notes that animal aesthetics with a delicate touch are set to be a big trend.

The butterfly story in Hidden Garden is split into three sections.

Our Piece of the Week comes from one where oval-cut white diamonds capture the crystalline lightness of a butterfly.

Another continues the abstract interpretation of butterflies through designs featuring fancy vivid yellow diamonds, and a third butterfly story is also told with jewels set with unenhanced padparadscha and Montana sapphires to echo the fragility of the insect.

The butterfly story is also divided into butterfly and monarch designs.

For the monarch pieces, Verdeille looked to a monarch butterfly necklace Schlumberger created for philanthropist Bunny Mellon that could be worn as a choker or a bracelet.

In this Blue Book, there are themes of transformation and renewal with nature’s cycles guiding the narrative, Tiffany & Co. said.

Organic growth and movement are expressed through hand-formed gold vines, platinum leaves, and geometric structures.

A platinum “Palm” brooch featuring three unenhanced, oval rubies totaling 1.79 carats accented by diamonds (price upon request)

The florals in the garden are seen in pieces like the “Palm” brooch.

From the “Palm” story, the brooch portrays twisting leaves that cradle unenhanced oval Mozambique rubies.

Examples of a garden complete with flora and fauna in a single piece can be seen in the “Bird on a Rock” necklace and bracelet inspired by Schlumberger’s iconic brooches.

Custom-cut chrysoprase beads represent a lush green garden, while platinum and 18-karat yellow gold birds adorned with diamonds and ruby eyes are perched on a 22.60-carat, cushion-cut, Santa Maria-hued aquamarine from Brazil.

This matching set follows the “Bird on a Rock by Tiffany” collection led by Verdeille, who reimagined Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock motif through her lens.

The collection debuted in October 2025 and uses figurative and abstract designs for fashion and high jewelry offerings.

Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book 2026: Hidden Garden will launch in three phases during spring, summer, and fall.

The spring expression debuted on April 16, and all pieces are price upon request.

The Blue Book collection, and our Butterfly necklace Piece of the Week, can be viewed on the Tiffany & Co. website
