TJS Now Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2026
Winners will receive free registration and lodging for its fourth annual event in Detroit.

The event will take place May 16-19, 2026, at the Detroit Marriot Troy in Michigan.
Scholarship winners will receive free registration and three complimentary nights at the event hotel.
Students, interns, apprentices, and those who are early in their career in any field of the jewelry industry are welcome to apply.
Awardees will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Detroit.
The symposium, which is dedicated to the advancement of jewelry manufacturing technology, is in its fourth year. Attendance has grown each year, organizers said.
Next year’s event will open with a networking dinner the evening of May 16.
In the following days, experts from around the world will give presentations on technology (design software, additive manufacturing, generative AI), jewelry manufacturing processes (metallurgy, casting, mold-making), gemstones, sustainability, and safety, as well as recruitment and development of new talent within the jewelry industry.
“The attrition of skilled labor in the fine jewelry industry makes an event like TJS more relevant and more necessary than ever,” said Linus Drogs, TJS chairman of the board.
“We welcome new and returning participants for 2026 [looking to] move their careers to the next level. We are grateful to our generous sponsors, especially GIA, Eddie Bell, Techform, and Mano Acero Jewelry for funding the scholarships.”
The deadline to submit a scholarship application is Jan. 5, 2026. Winners will be notified in February.
Applications for the TJS 2026 scholarship can be found here.
