Wilson & Son Jewelers Donates to the Horological Society of New York
The Scarsdale, New York-based jeweler donated a professional-grade watch cleaning machine.

It gifted the nonprofit an Elmasolvex VA cleaning machine.
The professional-grade watch cleaning machine—which costs $27,000 to buy new, according to the jeweler—is renowned for its precision, safety, and efficiency.
The donation underscores the jeweler’s commitment to advancing watchmaking education and preserving horological craftsmanship, it said, adding that the Elmasolvex VA will play a pivotal role in HSNY’s workshops and educational programs by providing students and horology enthusiasts with hands-on experience using industry-standard technology.
“Supporting the Horological Society of New York is an extension of our mission to nurture both appreciation and expertise in fine watchmaking,” said Matthew Wilson, president and co-owner of Wilson & Son Jewelers.
“We are proud to contribute to an institution that has done so much to educate, inspire, and preserve horological tradition in New York and beyond.”
HSNY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing the art and science of horology through education. It is one of the oldest continuously operating horological associations in the world, it said, as it was founded in 1866.
Wilson & Son Jewelers was founded in 1905 by Morris Wilson, a watch and clock maker. Today, the jeweler is run by the Wilson family’s fourth generation, brothers Matthew and Michael Wilson.
