Amanda’s Style File: January Is for Garnet

Garnet is comprised of a group of minerals, giving those with a birthday in January options when it comes to their birthstone.

The “Gypsy Link” ring by Lindsey Scoggins Studio ($9,500) is one of the 16 garnet pieces in Amanda’s Style File for January birthdays.
Gemstones have the power to release visceral feelings. Each stone has its own properties that uniquely call to each individual. Gemstones can make one feel happy, connected to memories from long ago, at peace, and so much more.

Garnet is more than one gemstone; it is a group of closely related minerals that have their own distinct look and feel.

As the official birthstone for January, garnet long has been known as a deep red stone that, despite not having a lot of personality, has a special hold on the hearts of so many people.

Breathtaking green and vivid orange garnet varieties are special yet so different despite both being members of the garnet group.

The jewelry selected for this Amanda’s Style File will have some pieces that stop the scroll instantly.

Each person will be drawn to a different piece, and that is what makes garnet great.
