Venus Jewelers Relocating After 45 Years
The retailer is moving to a newly designed space in the same shopping center.

Somerset, N.J.—Venus Jewelers is closing its doors and relocating to an upgraded location in the same shopping center.
After 45 years at its original location, the retailer has decided to move to a larger space that focuses on redefining the traditional jewelry shopping experience, said the company.
This move is a milestone for the business that was opened by the late George Stavrianidis in 1979.
Today, the family-owned jeweler is run by Peter Stavrianidis, Dora Fount, and Jason Stavrianidis.
“Our goal is to redefine the experience of buying engagement rings and jewelry,” said fifth-generation jeweler Jason Stavrianidis.
“The move will allow us to create a unique experience for clients, an experience that focuses on celebration, education, and the entire journey, not just the jewelry.”
The new shop will feature a dedicated bridal boutique to promote Venus Jewelers’ hands-on educational approach, a custom design and repair shop, and a modern lounge area that is anchored by a coffee and wine bar.

Venus Jewelers will be hosting a liquidation sale before closing its original location at 1024 Easton Ave.
The store will remain in Rutgers Plaza, moving to 940 Easton Avenue.
It is currently under construction, with an expected opening early this summer.
