WJA’s ‘Jewelry Night Out’ Returns for Its 10th Year
Chapters in 20 cities across North America will participate in the annual celebration and membership drive.
Now in its 10th year, Jewelry Night Out, or JNO, is a celebration and membership drive observed by WJA chapters nationwide.
It grew out of Fashion’s Night Out, the event Vogue magazine, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and New York City’s tourism marketing agency engineered in 2009 to get people back into stores at the height of the recession.
WJA said this year, chapters in 20 cities across North America will participate in JNO, which coincides with the first night of the 2022 HardRock Summit in Denver. The JNO event in Denver is open to those traveling to the show.
To mark the event’s milestone anniversary, WJA will unveil a commemorative member pin designed exclusively for WJA by artist and Los Angeles chapter member Angie Crabtree, who is known for her diamond and gemstone paintings.
The Gemological Institute of America is supporting JNO this year, with WJA Executive Director Jennifer Markas noting, “GIA is one of WJA’s longstanding supporters, and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with them. With GIA’s sponsorship, we will be able to bring together industry professionals across the nation to network and attend special education presentations through their local chapters on this important occasion.”
A full list of participating chapters and their Jewelry Night Out plans is available online.
At Jewelry Night Out and throughout WJA’s “Membership Month,” scheduled for Sept. 1-30, individuals can save 10 percent when joining WJA or renewing their current membership.
In addition, the organization plans to launch a special online auction during the month of September to help raise funds for the WJA Foundation’s member grants, which are given out annually to individuals to use toward professional growth and educational endeavors.
