Jenny Lewis joins The Knot after more than seven years at San Francisco-based Uber Technologies Inc.
One of the company’s first marketing hires, Lewis headed several brand-defining initiatives for the young company, including UberPool—the company’s ride-sharing option—and the brand’s COVID-19 response campaign.
Before Uber, she worked at Undertone Advertising and Fox Networks Group (FX, National Geographic Channel, Fox Sports) where she developed co-marketing strategies with MillerCoors (now Molson Coors) and Volkswagen, among others.
At The Knot Worldwide, she will lead all marketing, insights, and editorial initiatives for the company, which operates in 16 countries with 19 brands, including The Knot, Wedding Wire, The Bump, and How They Asked.
Lewis is a graduate of George Washington University with a bachelor’s in political communication.
“It is a great honor to welcome Jenny Lewis to The Knot Worldwide family. She is a highly experienced, seasoned business leader responsible for building one of the most well-known global marketplace brands—Uber,” said The Knot Worldwide CEO Tim Chi.
In addition to hiring Lewis, The Knot Worldwide also promoted two executives internally.
Executive Vice President of Strategy and Finance Andy Ivanovich was promoted to chief financial officer, overseeing a global team of accounting, finance, and corporate strategy professionals.
Ivanovich has been with the company since 2013 and holds a bachelor’s degree in operations research and engineering from Cornell University.
Prior to joining The Knot Worldwide, he worked at Spectrum Equity, Oliver Wyman FS, and Susquehanna Growth Equity.
Deputy General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal Felicity Chaban was promoted to general counsel.
Chaban has been with The Knot Worldwide since 2015. She holds a bachelor’s in economics from Boston College, and dual J.D. and M.B.A degrees from Villanova University. She also studied international law at the University of Notre Dame’s London Law Program.
She previously served as associate general counsel for Blackboard Inc., an education technology company.
“Both (Ivanovich and Chaban) have a proven track record of success at The Knot Worldwide and have been instrumental in leading several transformative business milestones during their tenure, including the merger of WeddingWire Inc. and XO Group Inc., while also building best-in-class teams,” Chi said.
“As we enter the next phase of profitable growth for The Knot Worldwide, Andy’s and Felicity’s leadership will keep us on the path of strategic expansion and operational excellence.”
