Inhorgenta Munich Is Postponed
Organizers have pushed the winter jewelry trade show to spring, citing travel restrictions.

Organizers of the Inhorgenta Munich jewelry trade show have announced its postponement to April 8-11, 2022.
It was originally scheduled for Feb. 11-14.
In a statement, Messe München said the decision was mainly due to travel restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 Omicron variant surge worldwide.
Chairman and CEO Klaus Dittrich said, “We had many discussions with our exhibitors before making this decision. And we want to ensure more clarity for them, as well as for visitors.
“Our customers and partners are still very interested in the trade show, the industry network wants to meet. With this new date, we provide a more reliable alternative for this.”
The postponement follows Vicenzaoro’s rescheduling from January to March.
Inhorgenta Munich was last held in February 2020. The 2021 edition, planned for April, was cancelled.
Messe München emphasized that it is possible to hold trade shows during the pandemic under certain conditions, with a “sophisticated protection and hygiene concept,” demonstrated by its IAA Mobility car show held in fall 2021, which saw 400,000 visitors, and its Trendset show for interiors, held earlier this month.
Inhorgenta Exhibition Director Elena Jasper said, “Our main concern is to create the best conditions for our customers for successful networking, for inspiration and for business success—and with the new date we are doing just that.”
The April Inhorgenta Munich edition will take place at the Messe München exhibition grounds.
