John Hardy Opening Stores in Houston, NYC
The jewelry brand plans to open the Houston boutique in September, followed by a flagship location in New York City in November.

New York--John Hardy has confirmed that it will open a flagship retail store in New York in November, which will be preceded by the opening of its first U.S. retail boutique in Houston in September.
The company also disclosed its intention to open a third U.S. location in early 2017, but has not specified the location.
“As we work to grow the John Hardy brand and bring the best luxury jewelry and service to our clients, expansion into retail boutiques in the U.S. is a natural next step,” said John Hardy Chief Executive Officer Robert Hanson.
The Houston boutique will be housed in the River Oaks District in a 1,000-square-foot space.
The New York flagship will be located at 118 Prince St. in the SoHo neighborhood, in a three-story, landmark preservation building. The space will total 1,200 square feet.
Hanson commented, “John Hardy’s heritage and expertise in artisan handcrafted jewelry rooted in Balinese traditions make for a unique brand story that is best told through owned boutiques. The retail stores will really be a distinctive 3-D articulation of the brand’s powerful design, dramatic detail and inspiring meaning. We also firmly believe that these boutiques will have a positive impact on the sales performance and productivity of our national and independent partners in the wholesale channel because they will increase brand awareness and engagement.”
John Hardy indicated it is eyeing additional U.S. retail locations in select luxury markets, and also has plans to expand its e-commerce globally.
