The Earrings that Rocked the Emmys
A few independent jewelry designers were represented alongside the usual red carpet heavyweights at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Fred (Leighton), Lorraine (Schwartz) and Harry (Winston)--all the stars were out for the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, held Sunday night in Los Angeles.
It was a night of major earrings, bold rings and the occasional bracelet, with nary a necklace in sight.
Shiri Appleby of “Unreal” donned a breathtaking pair of Piaget ear baubles and Emmy Rossum from “Shameless” sported dangling pearls from Fred Leighton.
Sarah Paulson was the night’s big winner on all fronts--the actress won an Emmy for her portrayal of Marcia Clark in “The People v. O.J. Simpson” and blew away the red carpet in a fashion-forward Prada dress smartly complimented with an oversized pair of custom Wilfredo Rosado earrings.
It was refreshing to see independent designers like Rosado occasionally mixed in with the red carpet regulars.
Other indie jewels spotted include Colette on Jill Kargman from “Odd Mom Out,” Irene Neuwirth on Abigail Spencer from the upcoming show “Timeless” and Kathryn Hahn of “Transparent,” Dana Rebecca Designs on the delightfully outfitted Constance Zimmer from “Unreal,” and Ileana Makri on fresh-faced Emily Robinson, also a member of the “Transparent” cast.
Here are some of the jewelry looks that caught our attention.
