JA, IGI Hosting Webinar on Care of Heirloom Jewelry
John Pollard and Mark Reyes will teach specialists how engage clients with talking points about protecting their jewelry.
New York—The next session in Jewelers of America’s webinar series will have two experts discussing how to engage clients about the care of their heirloom jewelry.
“Client Care and Handling of Heirloom Quality Jewelry” will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
Presenting will be John Pollard, educational specialist, and Mark Reyes, director of laboratory operations, both at the International Gemological Institute.
The two have a combined 50 years of experience in the area.
Pollard has led workshops around the world.
Reyes, an alumnus of IGI, has been with the Institute for 30 years. He studied fashion design in New York City at FIT and is skilled at CAD.
During the upcoming session, they will teach specialists how to engage with clients and educate them on appropriate care for their heirloom quality jewels.
They will leave participants with three takeaways:
1. The importance of “caretaking;”
2. How to encourage clients to develop a daily routine; and
3. Which IGI services will help instill confidence in clients.
