See Emma Stone’s Unique Pearl Engagement Ring
The actress forewent a diamond center stone to mark her recent engagement to “Saturday Night Live” director Dave McCary.

New York—Actress Emma Stone’s fiancé recently announced the couple’s engagement on Instagram, and the ring was far from traditional.
On Dec. 4, “Saturday Night Live” writer and segment director Dave McCary shared the below Instagram post of his beaming bride-to-be sporting a telltale bauble on her ring finger.

In lieu of a diamond center stone, the ring features a single pearl on a delicate gold band accented with a pinprick-sized diamond halo with diamonds also accenting the shank.
The ring is a signature style from Kataoka, the Japanese brand from designer Yoshinobu Kataoka with an adoring American clientele and a downtown Manhattan flagship opened last year.
The brand confirmed to National Jeweler that Stone’s engagement ring is their “Pearl Snowflake Ring Supreme” in 18-karat gold with an 8 mm untreated Akoya pearl and 0.37 carats of diamonds.
The ring retails for $4,780 on Kataoka.com. The average cost of an engagement ring is currently between $5,900 and $3,200, depending on who you ask.
Stone and McCary showed off the pearl stunner in the flesh this weekend as they exited the SNL afterparty, according to People.
The gossip mag said the couple has been dating since 2017. They met when Stone hosted SNL at the end of 2016.
