Picchiotti Calls on Brides to Think Color
A new 60-piece high-end bridal collection encompasses everything from diamond and colored stone engagement rings to a proprietary wedding band.

Valenza, Italy--Picchiotti wants consumers to think of color when shopping for engagement rings, but is offering them diamonds too.
The Italian jewelry brand, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is debuting a 60-piece bridal collection, replete with colored gemstone and diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, wedding day jewelry and anniversary jewelry.
“As we continue to celebrate our golden anniversary at Picchiotti this year, I have found myself regularly inspired by the loyalty and love of friends and customers around the world,” said founder and CEO Giuseppe Picchiotti.
“That loyalty, plus my own good fortune to have spent my life with my beautiful bride, motivated me to create an exceptional new bridal collection. These brilliant and beautiful styles bring out the radiance of every bride and offer unsurpassed quality for enduring value to ensure that they become treasured heirlooms for the happy couple’s next 50 years.”
Picchiotti is most known for its colored gemstone pieces. Its new colored stone engagement rings feature the highest quality Colombian and Zambian emeralds, Sri Lankan sapphires and Burmese pigeon’s blood rubies, surrounded by white diamonds. They start at $96,550 suggested retail for a 3.81-carat Zambian emerald, diamond and white gold ring and top off at $517,950 for an unheated 14.79-carat Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond ring set in platinum.
The diamond offerings, by contrast, begin at $14,300 for a 0.69-carat fancy yellow diamond, white and yellow gold ring accented with white diamonds.
Picchiotti also has created several more opulent diamond rings, the most expensive of which retails for $635,800 and features a 3.88-carat fancy yellow diamond and white diamonds set in platinum.
The highlight of the wedding bands is Picchiotti’s patented “Xpandable” design, which allows the bands to stretch and contract for a perfect fit. The technology is also included in some of the engagement rings.
Xpandable expands two sizes, allowing a proposer to buy a ring without knowing their significant other’s exact size, or simply allowing for a correct fit when fingers naturally swell and constrict. Picchiotti noted that this allows a ring to fit for decades and even during pregnancy.
The selection of wedding day jewelry encompassed in the bridal collection is focused on diamond pieces, with special attention paid to keeping earrings lightweight and comfortable. These pieces start at $6,800.
The anniversary assortment, meanwhile, is focused on color, with emerald, sapphire and ruby rings, earrings and
