‘Jewelers Unite’ for Good at Art Miami
Diamonds Unleashed has partnered with CFDA jewelers to auction one-of-a-kind pieces at the upcoming art fair.

Miami--During the first week of December, when Miami is crawling with art fairgoers, the city also will get a dose of fine jewelry, and all for a good cause.
Diamonds Unleashed, the organization created by jewelry designer Kara Ross that develops various initiatives to support women’s empowerment, has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) on a project called Jewelers Unite.
Eleven designers, including Ross, have created one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry for the project that are set to be auctioned off at the Art Miami fair, held Nov. 29 to Dec. 4 at The Art Miami Pavilion in the Wynwood Arts District.
“We are so excited to participate in Art Miami, bringing together top CFDA jewelers to spread the message of women's empowerment and support women around the globe,” Ross said.
Ross’ CFDA contemporaries who are participating in Jewelers Unite are: Lorraine Schwartz, Stephen Dweck, Paige Novick, Angela Cummings, Stephen Webster, Ben Amun, Simon Alcantara, Melissa Joy Manning, Katrin Zimmermann and Rachel Dooley of the brand Gemma Redux.
The pieces to be auctioned will be on display at the Diamonds Unleashed booth at the fair.
Net profits from the sale will benefit Diamonds Unleashed’s nonprofit partners that support women’s empowerment, including She’s the First, Girls Who Code and GirlUp.
“The Jewelers Unite pieces on display at Art Miami will all proudly represent women’s empowerment through their unique designs,” said Ross. “A diamond is a symbol of a strong and unbreakable woman, and this group of talented jewelers will pay homage to this message at Art Miami 2016.”
