Tissot heads to NYC for first US boutique
Tissot recently announced plans to open its first standalone store in America on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue later this year, making it the latest watch brand to open its own store here.
The store will be located at 666 Fifth Ave., near Rockefeller Plaza, a popular spot for tourists and shopping. It’s slated to open in mid-August.
It will offer a broad selection of Tissot’s collections such as Touch, T-Sport, T-Trend, T-Classic, Heritage, T-Gold and T-Pocket as well as special collections.
The interior will feature a clock display that highlights Tissot’s touch watch design, which will be the second Tissot clock in New York City. The other is located in the lobby of Madison Square Garden.
The new space also will have visuals featuring the Swatch Group-owned brand’s athlete brand ambassadors and audiovisual elements showing Tissot-sponsored sporting events.
“New York City’s Fifth Avenue is an iconic shopping mecca known internationally for its display of the world’s most famous brands,” said Tissot President François Thiébaud. “Tissot is proud to have its first U.S. boutique in this prominent location, and our aim is to provide both local New Yorkers and visiting guests alike with luxury quality products at affordable prices.”
News of the Tissot boutique follows a number of other watch brands announcing standalone stores in the United States.
