For the Connect 2.0, Movado Downsizes
The watch company created a thinner 40 mm version of the smartwatch it launched two years ago.
In launching the Movado Connect 2.0, the watch company is casting a wider net. It’s introduced more feminine styles and added a smaller size.
When Movado Connect came out in 2017, all the watches were 42 mm and available in five versions labeled as “men’s styles.”
The 2.0 version includes a thinner, 40 mm option in addition to the 42 mm version, as well as styles with crystals set into the hands and the Museum dial’s signature dot at 12 o’clock.
It also has a heart rate sensor, a feature the first version did not.
Other features of the Connect 2.0 include:
Interchangeable straps (fabric for sport use or leather) and metal bracelets (traditional or mesh);
Customizable dials;
Programmable pushers;
A microphone;
GPS; and
Music control and storage.
Movado started taking pre-orders for the Connect 2.0 today. The watch will be available on Movado.com and in Movado retailers worldwide in October.
Retail prices range from $495 to $750.
