WJA Now Offering Free First-Year Memberships for Students
Gemological Science International is sponsoring the endeavor, which is valid in 2018.
New York—The Women’s Jewelry Association has announced that it now will offer free first-year memberships to students in 2018.
The endeavor is being funded by Gemological Science International, an independent organization that provides gemstone identification and grading services, conducts research and facilitates educational programs for the diamond, gemstone and jewelry trades.
Students who wish to take advantage of the free first-year membership must be able to provide proof of enrollment, such as a current student ID card or a bill. They must be enrolled in a jewelry- or gemstone-related education program and cannot already be a member of the WJA.
Students should contact WJA Membership Coordinator Rachel Jurisz at rachel@womensjewelryassociation.com to obtain a promotional code that will allow them to register for the free first-year membership on WJA’s website.
Debbie Azar, president and co-founder of Gemological Science International, said, “GSI is proud to be the first-ever sponsor of all-new student memberships to WJA. It is so important that as an industry, we encourage and cultivate the future leaders of our industry, and it’s a pleasure for GSI to be able to do so in this way.”
