Atlanta Jewelry Show’s Spring Event Is Hitting the Road
The AJS Spring 2027 show will be held in Savannah, Georgia, with future shows taking place in other Southeast cities.

Starting next year, the spring show, which has been held in Atlanta for the past 76 years, will take place in different cities across the Southeast. The August show will remain in Atlanta.
The inaugural “road show” event will take place in April 2027 at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia.
The spring show also is moving to a Sunday-Monday schedule to avoid weekend conflicts and make the show more inclusive and accessible for all exhibitors and retail buyers, organizers said.
The 2027 Savannah show will open with a “RetailFusion” education day on Saturday, April 3, while the show floor will be open on Sunday, April 4, and Monday, April 5.
Organizers said the “road show” concept is part of a strategy to engage the community of jewelry businesses throughout the region.
The shift in strategy comes amid a period of change for AJS, which started in 1950 and is believed to be the country’s longest-running regional jewelry trade show.
In October 2025, the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, which produces AJS, announced that it had hired Hill Management Group to provide leadership and guidance while SJTA searches for new management for the show.
The new spring show will be designed as an “immersive retreat,” featuring education, networking and Southern hospitality, organizers said, as AJS aims to become the trade show destination of choice for independent retailers.
Organizers plan to select locations that, like Savannah, offer resort experiences, golf outings, and novel evening events, for a blend of networking, community, business value, and education at every show.
Savannah also is home to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Many AJS exhibitors and retailers rely on SCAD for interns and new talent, and AJS had several SCAD students and instructors at its 2026 Spring show, held last month in Atlanta.
Next year’s Savannah show will allow AJS to continue to grow its relationship with SCAD and support Jewelers Mutual’s $10 million donation and 10-year alliance with the school to support bench jeweler education.
“We are incredibly excited to bring the industry to Savannah to help highlight and celebrate this massive initiative by Jewelers Mutual and SCAD,” said Ross Wesdorp, president of the AJS board of directors.
“Supporting education and ongoing workforce initiatives is a core pillar of our new Atlanta Jewelry Show strategy. By aligning our inaugural traveling show with this historic investment, we are supporting an initiative that the entire jewelry industry needs to rally behind.”
To apply to exhibit at AJS Fall 2026 in Atlanta, set for Aug. 22-23 with RetailFusion on Aug. 21, or AJS Spring 2027 in Savannah visit the AJS website.
