Christie’s Presents ‘Splendor & Style’ Collection
The single-owner collection includes one of the largest offerings of Verdura jewels ever to appear at auction, said Christie’s.

“Splendor & Style: Jewels from the Collection of a Distinguished Lady” was curated by a woman Christie’s defined as having bold taste and a discerning eye.
The collection reflects “a lifetime devoted to beauty, color, and fearless individuality,” the auction house said.
It comprises 150 lots which will be offered across Magnificent Jewels on Dec. 10, an online handbag sale, running from now until Dec. 11, and a dedicated jewelry online sale closing Dec. 12.
The jewels on offer, which include diamond and colored gemstone pieces, tell the story of “a connoisseur who traveled the world in pursuit of excellence and self-expression,” Christie’s said.
A highlight is a Van Cleef & Arpels “Ludo Hexagone Zip” necklace that will be offered at Magnificent Jewels, where it is estimated to fetch $200,000 to $300,000.
Jewelry from Bulgari, Buccellati, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels will be on offer, as well as pieces from contemporary designers including Suzanne Belperron, Dior, and Chanel.
The collection also features one of the largest offerings of Verdura jewels ever to appear at auction, according to Christie’s.
A Verdura ruby and diamond “Wrapped Heart” brooch will be offered at Magnificent Jewels, estimated to sell for $30,000 to $50,000.
The online jewelry sale will feature a Verdura diamond and gold “Curb Link” bracelet. It is estimated to sell for $12,000 to $18,000.
