Harry Winston Exhibition to Open in Shanghai
It will explore the life of “The King of Diamonds” and showcase more than 165 creations from the brand.

Shanghai—A new public exhibition showcasing Harry Winston’s famous gemstones, high jewelry, timepieces, and archival designs is coming to Shanghai.
“Rare Jewels of the World” will be open from Sept. 7-13 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.
More than 165 high jewelry and timepiece creations will be on display together for the first time, representing “the pinnacle of rarity, beauty, and unparalleled craftsmanship,” the brand said.
The exhibition reflects “the discerning eye and uncompromising standards” that have shaped the Harry Winston brand for more than 90 years, it added.
It will feature 10 curated galleries using immersive elements.
It is designed to take visitors on a journey from the early days of Winston’s career to the brand’s modern-day designs.
Among the sections are the “Heritage Tunnel,” which will display never-before-seen images and videos of Winston’s life, and the “Vintage Gallery,” which will present landmark creations from the brand’s archives.
There will also be a section dedicated to Harry Winston's history in China, revealing the jeweler’s longstanding connection with the country, as 2026 marks thirty years since the house hosted its first exhibition at the Palace Museum in the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Additional galleries will examine the brand’s distinctive design language, including a look at its craftsmanship and the evolution of the "Winston Cluster," its signature design created in the 1940s.
The cluster motif features pear, marquise, and round brilliant diamonds set at varying angles to create sculptural, highly dimensional designs that capture the light from all directions, as described on the Harry Winston website.
There will also be an interactive stroll through Central Park, a nod to Winston’s affinity for New York, leading to two high jewelry galleries featuring a selection of one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
At the heart of the exhibition is the Winston Pink Legacy Diamond.
The fancy vivid pink diamond, one of the rarest pink diamonds in the world, weighs 18.96 carats, honoring Winston’s birth year.
The Rockefeller-Winston Emerald will also be on display.
The 18.03-carat emerald is named after its previous owner, the Rockefeller family.
Today, the gemstone is set in a Winston-style ring with diamond accents.
“Rare Jewels of the World” celebrates Winston's profound imprint on the industry, his pioneering design vision, and the house's continued commitment to “only the most exceptional,” the brand said.
