Larkspur & Hawk Celebrates 25 Years With Helena Bonham Carter Campaign
The British actress and her daughter modeled pieces from the brand’s new “Palette” capsule for its “Once Upon a Time” holiday campaign.

The campaign, shot as a portrait series, features 15 images of Bonham Carter, who was transformed into a fairytale-like Georgian-era character, alongside her 17-year-old daughter, Nell Burton.
Once Upon a Time is a nod to the Georgian period with a contemporary flare, mirroring Larkspur & Hawk’s design roots in inspiration from 18th century England.
The creative direction of the campaign was a collaboration between Bonham Carter and the brand’s founder, designer, and curator Emily Satloff.
The actress, well known for her roles in Netflix’s “The Crown,” the “Harry Potter” series, and many Tim Burton films, is a long-time collector of Larkspur & Hawk.
“I love jewelry and how it can out survive us humans, carrying stories over the decades, and over the centuries,” said Bonham Carter.
“I love how a piece can evoke a whole atmosphere and new internal weather. I also basically love dressing up and make believe is what I do for a living, so when Emily asked if I’d be up for a commemorative photoshoot, I jumped at the chance of going full Georgian.”
It was shot by photographer Rebecca Reid last July at Home House, a private member club based in a Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, London.
Bonham Carter’s pastel pink hair was created by her longtime hair designer Carol Hemming. The soft pastel pink color was chosen to match the pink foil used in the brand’s jewelry, which is made using an 18th-century foiling technique to give jewels more light, color, and vibrancy.
Award-winning makeup artist for film and TV Morag Ross was the makeup artist for the campaign and stylist Jo Hambro put together the wardrobe, selecting colors and fabrics that added to the Georgian flair.
Bonham Carter and Burton are seen wearing Larkspur & Hawk’s jewels styled with gowns by designers Patrick McDowell and Elena Dawson.
Throughout the campaign, Bonham Carter and Burton are styled in new and personal pieces by Larkspur & Hawk.
In the images, Burton wears her mother’s “Sadie” rivière necklace in the “Crazy Quilt” colorway, a gift given to Bonham Carter by her own mother.
“The name rivière is particularly fortuitous as mum is French, and a river has a poetic symbolism of forever flowing, which seems right for an heirloom as it’s passed from mother to daughter,” said Bonham Carter.
“One day it will be on to my own daughter, Nell, if she doesn’t steal it before! I’ve also recently become addicted to a song called The Baton by Katie Gavin about the relay between generations of mothers and daughters. My rivière will be our baton.”
In other images, Bonham Carter models the icy blue foiled “Bella” suite (seen at top).
The new “Bella” rivière necklace was designed to reimage the brand’s best-selling silhouette with larger, foiled rose-cut stones in antique-inspired, exaggerated collet settings, the brand said.
She also models her personal Larkspur & Hawk “Button” earrings in white quartz with “green grass” foil (seen above) and pieces from the brand’s new “Palette” capsule collection, which debuted alongside the campaign.
Palette is a celebration of the brand’s milestone anniversary, with pieces that honor all the foil colors Satloff has incorporated into her designs for the last 25 years.
It includes a coordinating rivière necklace, bracelet, and earring set in either gold or black rhodium washed sterling silver.
Each piece features rose-cut stones set in exaggerated collet settings, and the chandelier earrings feature a sunburst pattern on the back of each setting.
In the campaign imagery, Bonham Carter is seen modeling the black rhodium suite.
Satloff said she was awestruck when she saw the actress wearing the Palette suite on the set of the campaign.
“It is the culmination of 25 years of my work, and she looked like she stepped right out of the most magical fairytale, glowing in Larkspur & Hawk jewelry,” said Satloff.
“Everything she does when she is in character she does with such gusto, even when it is doing an anniversary campaign for me. That is what made this shoot so special. It was such a beautiful day on set–laughing, working, and being creative with our team of almost all women.”
The Palette capsule retails from $1,300 to $4,500.
It is available on the Larkspur & Hawk website.
The Once Upon a Time campaign launched on Nov. 11 via Larkspur & Hawk’s website and social media channels.
