Platinum Guild International Updates Leadership Team
Two existing executives have been given new roles.

The organization has named Vaishali Banerjee as head of global market development, a new role at PGI.
Banerjee will also continue in her existing role as managing director of India as well as the Middle East, which PGI said are both critical growth hubs for platinum.
“This is a transformative time for platinum,” said Banerjee.
“We are witnessing a shift in global sentiment towards meaningful consumption. Platinum—with its rarity, preciousness, and enduring value—is perfectly poised to accompany this moment. I look forward to further strengthening our presence in India and the United Arab Emirates while building momentum across key and emerging global markets.”
Pallavi Sharma, formerly PGI’s business director, has been promoted to deputy country manager of India and the Middle East.
“I’m excited to take on this new role at such a dynamic juncture,” said Sharma.
“Platinum’s narrative is evolving rapidly, and our focus will be on deepening consumer connections and expanding retail partnerships to ensure sustainable category growth across India and the United Arab Emirates.”
India and the Middle East are priority markets for PGI, the organization said, and these new leadership changes underline its commitment to “unlocking and optimizing platinum’s potential through direct engagement, partnerships, and market development initiatives.”
“This strategic move comes at a time when platinum is poised for a new growth chapter. Its strong price advantage, coupled with its intrinsic rarity and preciousness, is generating renewed market favorability worldwide,” said PGI.
Founded in 1975, PGI is a marketing organization for platinum with specialist teams that work to grow its presence in the jewelry industry.
