John Atencio Appoints 2 to Wholesale Team
Kim Carpenter and Sam Gevisenheit have joined the brand.

The brand has appointed Kim Carpenter and Sam Gevisenheit to the roles.
Carpenter brings two decades of experience in luxury and designer jewelry. He was previously the wholesale sales manager at Todd Reed. Most recently, he founded Narrative Ltd., where he advised emerging designers on brand positioning and U.S. market strategy.
Carpenter has an authentic, relationship-driven approach and sharp understanding of market dynamics, the brand said, and he is poised to “help retailers elevate their in-store offerings” through the John Atencio brand.
Gevisenheit brings years of experience in bridal and fashion jewelry. His role will focus on expanding awareness and building profitable, long-term relationships with independent jewelers, the brand said.
He is known for his integrity, insight, and commitment to his retail partners, said John Atencio, and brings a deep understanding of retail needs and market opportunities to the new role.
Gevisenheit also represents South African jewelry brand Naledi.
The additions join Ashley Brown, who has worked on the wholesale team for the past four years.
Brown has a strong background in marketing, operations and account management, and works to ensure an exceptional experience for current and new retail partners alike, said the brand.
“This is a defining time for our brand,” said John Atencio, founder and designer.
“We are reintroducing the John Atencio story to the industry—with new energy, new collections, and a passionate, experienced team behind it. Kim, Sam, and Ashley represent everything we value: integrity, service, and an unwavering commitment to our retail partners' success.”
The expanded team brings deep experience, personalized service, and a commitment to building meaningful relationships, the brand added, delivering what today’s independent retailers need most: distinct, design-forward jewelry collections supported by trusted wholesale expertise.
The brand, including the new team members, will exhibit at the JCK Show in Las Vegas at Booth 15030.
The wholesale team can be reached at wholesale@johnatencio.com.
John Atencio, founded in 1976, has six locations across Colorado and continues to grow its national presence through a focused and collaborative retail partner network.
