Elizabeth Taylor’s Diamond Line Bracelet Going up for Auction
Offered by U.K. auction house Woolley & Wallis, the yellow diamond bracelet was a gift from Taylor’s good friend Michael Jackson.

As part of its Jan. 30 Fine Jewellery auction, Woolley & Wallis in Salisbury, England, is offering a diamond line bracelet given to Elizabeth Taylor by a good friend of hers, music legend and 13-time Grammy winner Michael Jackson.
The two had a well-publicized, decades-long friendship, with Jackson selecting Taylor as the godmother to his children.
Jackson died in 2009, and Taylor in 2011.
One of a number of pieces Jackson gave to the jewelry-loving Taylor over the years, the yellow gold bracelet is set with 27 graduated, radiant-cut diamonds of yellow tint, the largest of which is 3.38 carats.
Christie’s originally sold the piece in December 2011 as part of its record-setting sale of the Oscar-winning actress and AIDS activist’s incredible collection of jewelry.
The buyer, who paid $182,500 for it then, is the person putting it up for auction now, according to Woolley & Wallis.
It is estimated to sell for £50,000-£70,000 (approximately $61,000-$86,000), though it’s likely the piece’s provenance will push the sale price higher.
Marielle Whiting, jewelry specialist at Woolley & Wallis, said, “We are extremely fortunate to be offering for sale in Salisbury this beautiful and highly wearable diamond bracelet with truly legendary provenance that continues to live on.”
