Boucheron Bets on Las Vegas
The brand has opened its second U.S. location in the Fontainebleau resort and casino.
The 1,560-square-foot space is located in the Fontainebleau resort and casino.
Boucheron, a Kering-owned brand, said it chose Las Vegas as its landing point as it is a premier destination for high-end brands and discerning clientele.
The location was designed to evoke a warm atmosphere where clients can feel at home while they view the brand’s collections, including “Quatre” and “Serpent Bohème,” as well as bridal and high jewelry pieces, said Boucheron.
It was designed with inspiration from both the Parisian architecture that is seen at its Place Vendôme boutique that founder Frédéric Boucheron opened in 1893 and the brand’s Art Deco aesthetic.
The façade showcases glass prisms with a grosgrain motif in Boucheron’s green color, along with emerald-cut designs reminiscent of the brand’s logo and the shape of Place Vendôme when seen from a bird’s-eye view.
Inside, the molded green marble frames, black metal accents, and symmetry nod to its Art Deco aesthetic, with geometric shapes, bold colors, and ornamentation.
The work of Pierre Chareau, a French architect and designer, was also used as inspiration when designing this location, which Boucheron said blends its Parisian heritage with the energy and spirit of Las Vegas.
The combination can be seen through the use of colorful furniture and bright, moiré wallpaper.
The VIP area nods to the Jardin d’Hiver room, which translates to The Winter Garden, at the Place Vendôme boutique with floral motifs.
It is decorated with a metallic, orange, blue, and green color palette to transform the original theme of Jardin d’Hiver to fit in with Las Vegas style.
There is floral wallpaper by French company Atelier d’Offard, which still uses traditional techniques from the 18th century alongside modern processes, and art by Franco-Swiss photographer and artist Erwan Frotin, who blend his diverse interests in botany, arts, and color theory in his work.
At the center of this area sits a coffee table that features “OSIS,” a surface finish developed by German design studio Ilot Ilov that uses salt crystals and color pigments on wood to create unique motifs.
The opening of the Las Vegas store follows the launch of its first U.S. location in September, as Boucheron is growing its presence in the American market. The brand first stepped into the U.S. at 747 Madison Ave. in New York City.
The new boutique, and second U.S. store, is located at 2777 S Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas.
