Taylor Swift Brings Diamonds, Edgy Jewels to her VMAs Looks
The artist opted for big yellow diamond earrings, a vintage chain, and white metals at the annual MTV awards show.

The global superstar arrived on the black carpet for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in Elmont, New York, Wednesday night sporting an edgy yellow and black taffeta tartan Christian Dior corset and train.
As every loyal Swiftie knows, the queen of clues is always hinting at something.
While I was scouring her ensemble for any indication of the long-awaited announcement of the release of “Reputation (Taylor’s Version),” something caught my eye that made me (briefly) abandon the hunt—two enormous pear-shaped yellow diamonds.

The 30-carat yellow diamond and black jade earrings are by Lorraine Schwartz, according to Only Natural Diamonds.
Swift took home seven awards, the most of any honoree that night, bringing her total to 30 and breaking the record for most wins at the VMAs by a solo artist.
For outfit No. 2 and her afterparty look, the artist wore custom dresses by Monse, each channeling a UFO theme (a “Down Bad” nod, perhaps), paired with a handful of white metals.
The singer donned a 1980s-era “Omega” chain in 14-karat white gold, a piece from For Future Reference Vintage, a new venture for brand development agency For Future Reference.
For her ring selection, Swift wore a Retrouvaí platinum “Magna” ring, a Grown Brilliance marquise lab-grown diamond eternity band, a thin gold band with five diamonds by Ali Weiss, and a Jade Ruzzo “Tennessee” drip ring with a demantoid garnet.
For bracelets, she sported Mateo New York’s “Carabiner” and “Lock Link” bracelets and a pavé chain from Lizzie Mandler.
While her wrist candy may seem understated (aside from the spiky Rainbow K “Horn” bangle worn on her right wrist), Swift has a history of going full concert mode at these events, so after losing a diamond from a Van Cleef & Arpels ring last year while dancing, perhaps the choice was intentional.
And yes—the missing stone was recovered.
Swift accepted two awards with Post Malone, one being the award for Best Collaboration, but the real gold medal for teamwork here goes to her earring stack.
She starts strong with a diamond-encrusted earring from Rainbow K jewelry’s “Horn” collection, followed by Ali Weiss’ baby pavé hoop earrings featuring two diamond drops, a two-stone lab-grown diamond stud earring from Grown Brilliance, and some very sparkly, not-yet-identified ear cuffs.
For the awards show, Swift was styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer in collaboration with five other stylists.
