‘Little Mermaid’ Fans Will Flip Over Pandora’s New Collection
The nautical-themed jewels will channel mermaid Ariel’s “fearless spirit and sense of freedom,” said Pandora.

The new seven-piece collection, called “Journey Beyond the Sea,” draws inspiration from main character Ariel, a rebellious young mermaid who yearns for a life on land and the love of human prince Eric.
A. Filippo Ficarelli and Francesco Terzo, Pandora’s senior vice presidents and creative directors, said they modeled the jewels around Ariel’s “fearless spirit and sense of freedom.”
“Our inspiration was drawn from the diverse characters and unlikely friendships that empower Ariel’s story,” said Ficarelli.
Terzo added, “We hope these designs are a reminder for our fans to approach life with curiosity.”
The designs include 14-karat gold-plated seashell stud earrings ($96) set with an artificial pearl at the center, and a 14-karat gold-plated dangling shell charm ($87) engraved with the phrase “My voice is a treasure.”
“The collection captures the essence of friendship and adventure, with designs that bring to life new perspectives of the reimagined classic, championing female empowerment and independence,” said Pandora.
The collection will be available May 25, with the movie’s premiere to follow on May 26.
Pandora has partnered with Disney previously, with the Pandora x Disney collection featuring jewels that channel the entertainment giant’s long list of characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a slew of Disney princesses, and Marvel superheroes.
