Registration is Open for Germany’s Intergem 2022
Special events at this year’s jewelry trade show include a tour of local museums and gem-related destinations.

Scheduled for Sept. 23-25 in Idar-Oberstein, the trade show caters to buyers interested in colored gemstones, diamonds, pearls, engravings, and finished jewelry and accessories.
Organizers said there will be 90 exhibiting companies this year, with a full list available online.
Registration is available online too, and only open to members of the trade.
Registrants may print their online tickets and use them for entry in lieu of badges for quicker show entry.
This year’s edition of the jewelry trade show will benefit from looser COVID-19 restrictions. Masks are no longer required, nor is proof of vaccination or of having recently had COVID-19, known as the 3G rule in Germany.
There are also special activities planned for the 2022 show, like an appearance from jewelry blogger and journalist Katerina Perez.
The Paris-based industry insider will present a jewelry fashion show of exhibitors’ pieces, showing the latest trends and artistry.
The Intergem Lounge, meanwhile, will focus on sustainability, hosting presentations by Guya Merkle of Berlin-based company Vieri on sustainability and impact, and Desirée Binternagel of company Fairever on fair and sustainable gold mining.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, Intergem will host a special evening event called “The Long Night of Gemstones,” happening from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
It will feature events and entertainment at six gem- and jewelry-related locations around Idar-Oberstein, free to trade show exhibitors and visitors and with provided shuttle services from the show.
The German Gemstone Museum, the Steinkaulenberg gemstone mine, and the German Gemmological Institute are some of the stops on the night’s tour.
