As a little girl, I would sit in a field and search for hours for a four-leaf clover. I thought finding one would bring me luck.

I know I am not alone in feeling the pull of these superstitions and lucky traditions.

Parents still tell their young children there is a pot of gold underneath the rainbow. New homeowners hang a horseshoe in their home as it is said to bring luck. If a ladybug lands on you, luck is supposed to follow.

There are countless symbols people associate with luck and good fortune.

With St. Patrick’s Day upon us, we celebrate lucky charms—not the cereal but the precious earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings that feel festive on March 17 but appropriate year-round.
