Australian mining company Lucapa discovered a 404.2-carat diamond at its Lulo Mine in Angola this week, further convincing the mine’s operators that the site could contain many more large finds.
In other diamond news, De Beers announced that its sales fell more than 30 percent in 2015, former Rio Tinto chief Jean-Marc Lieberherr was named CEO of the Diamond Producers Association and some rather-muted ring bling was spotted on the red carpet at the annual Grammy Awards.
