Columbia, Md.--Pandora is the official jewelry sponsor for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and the company’s pieces were spotted on the runway as part of designer Vivienne Tam’s show.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week began Sept. 4 and will run through Thursday at Lincoln Center in New York.
Tam incorporated jewelry from multiple Pandora collections in her runway show for spring 2015, which took place Sunday, including uniquely styled bracelets and Murano glass charms.
“I’m very excited to be collaborating with Pandora this season,” Tam said. “Their jewelry is a perfect complement to my spring 2015 runway collection.”
Keshia Holland, director of public relations and online marketing for Pandora, said partnering with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and Tam was a perfect opportunity to showcase the brand’s collections as well as to immerse the company in the “exciting inspiration” that is fashion week.
“It was important for Pandora to partner with an iconic designer whose style is unique and feminine and have a runway presence to demonstrate the versatility of the jewelry the brand offers,” she said. “From street style to the runways in New York, Pandora offers something for every woman’s personal style.”
Pandora isn’t the first brand to have its jewelry worked into a prominent runway fashion show; Swiss watchmaker Rado teamed with designer Malan Breton to dress his runway models in watches in 2011, and pieces from Hera were worn by models on Carmen Marc Valvo’s catwalk in 2012.
