Seattle--Amazon.com Inc. announced Tuesday that an entire section of its website is now dedicated to wearable technology, allowing consumers to browse the latest gadgets and research devices, including smartwatches.
The Wearable Technology store allows customers to shop by category or check out devices under the “New & Featured Products” or “Featured Brand” pages.
A Learning Center page houses product videos and detailed buying guides that provide information on device compatibility, product comparisons and use-case suggestions.
Customers also can check out the “Editor’s Corner” for information about wearable technology industry news, device reviews and other pieces of information.
Like the rest of Amazon.com, items from the Wearable Technology store include fast and free shipping, free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime, editorial reviews, personalized product recommendations, customer reviews and best sellers.
John Nemeth, director of wireless and mobile electronics at Amazon, said the store helps customers eliminate guesswork when deciding which wearable device best fits their needs.
“Wearable technology is an exciting category with rapid innovation and our customers are increasingly coming to Amazon to shop and learn about these devices,” he said.
