According to the World Health Organization, as of this week there were more than 8,000 confirmed, probable and suspected cases of Ebola in seven countries: Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Spain and the United States. The virus has caused more than 4,000 deaths.

Save the Children, a nonprofit, is on the ground in Africa, building treatment centers, supporting orphans and educating people on how to prevent the spread of Ebola.
“Everyone is concerned about the rapid spread of the virus in Africa and so many children have died and so many more are now orphans,” JFC board chair Ruth Batson said. “Our generous industry has once again stepped up to help in a crisis where children are involved.”
