Signet to Move Texas Office into Massive Development
The jeweler plans to relocate its Irving office to a 1,000-acre live-work-play development but, ultimately, will occupy less office space in the Lone Star State.

Dallas--Signet Jewelers Ltd. is moving its Dallas headquarters from Irving, Texas, into a 1,000-acre mixed-use development called Cypress Waters.
Signet’s current location in Irving, the longtime home to Zale Corp. before its acquisition by Signet in 2014, totals approximately 414,000 square feet.
Its new Dallas Support Center campus in Cypress Waters will total 256,000: 225,000 square feet of office space on a lake-front site and a 31,000-square-foot facility for Signet Manufacturing. (Signet has a total of three manufacturing facilities, the one in Texas plus locations in Akron and Canada. The factories do stone setting and repair work.)
The estimated cost of the Signet’s new support center campus is $50.5 million.
Spanning the cities of Dallas, Coppell and Irving, Cypress Waters is a mix of offices, mid-rise rental housing, parks, shops, restaurants and hiking and biking trails, all on a 360-acre lake. A project of Dallas real estate developer Billingsley Company, Cypress Waters is a $3.5 billion development.
Construction on Signet’s new facilities, which will be the first office campus constructed on the lake, is scheduled to begin in June and be completed by end of 2017.
More than 1,110 Signet employees work in the Dallas store support center.
The jeweler has a total of 38,000 employees in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. The vast majority of them (nearly 34,000) work in the stores (Zales, Piercing Pagoda, Jared, Kay Jewelers, H. Samuel, etc.) while 2,850 are employed at the home office in Akron and 750 at the one in the U.K.
