How does one go from Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed list to fashion muse?
I imagine Christina Aguilera would answer that question with the hook from the song "That's What Friends Are For" because it would definitely explain why she's the inspiration for London jeweler Stephen Webster's new collection.
According to an article on the National Jeweler Network, she's a good friend of Webster's and fronting the development of his new line, which so far consists of two collections: Shattered and Superstud.
With gemstones inlaid into silver, the rings, cuffs, pendants and earrings in the Shattered collection bring to mind broken stained-glass windows in a Gothic church. The punk rock Superstud collection includes 40 styles, many of which feature biker studs.
These styles are reminiscent of the old Christina. Not the one that marriage, motherhood and possibly a new stylist have refined. Not to worry though: Daring jewelry is exciting and translates much better than bad-girl clothing. Remember her derriere-less leather pants?
