Third Jewelry Industry Summit Slated for March
Scheduled for March 9 and 10 in New York, the event will run just ahead of the JA New York Spring show.

New York--The third iteration of the Jewelry Industry Summit has been scheduled for March 9 and 10, 2018, just ahead of the JA New York Show.
Venue and registration details will be announced in the future.
As in the past, summit registration includes free entrance to the JA New York show, slated to run from March 11 to 13 at the Javits Center.
Summit organizers said the third event will continue its aim of moving the industry toward a more sustainable future by providing an open forum that allows for learning and education about the resources and tools that can help those interested in responsible practices.
It will include a combination of storytelling, learning labs, “fireside chats” and creative reflection activities to allow attendees the opportunity to exchange sustainability best practices and educate one another on initiatives, implementation tools and resources.
Organizers are currently seeking the following topic areas,among others:
--Application of tools and assessments that support responsible business practices;
--Case studies and success stories;
--Innovative solutions;
--How social media can support sustainability and responsibility;
--How to ensure the entire supply chain is integral, legitimate and fair;
--What retailers do to ensure their business and products are sustainable;
--What practical equipment might be recommended to further responsible sourcing; and
--The ROI for sustainable and responsible practices.
They said preference will be given to proposals that “provide a mix of practical tools and resources, stories demonstrating application and feasible steps for people to begin or continue their efforts.”
The application to participate as a speaker is available on JewelryIndustrySummit.com. For more information, contact Maggie Gabos at jewelryindustrysummit@gmail.com. For sponsorship enquiries contact Mike Pace at mike@connectedjewelry.com
“We look forward to a diverse slate of speakers, drawn from both inside and outside the industry, offering practical resources that industry members can start to use immediately to sustain and improve our supply chain,” Director Cecilia Gardner said. “As with past summits, we plan a very dynamic and interactive session, with creative formats that encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas.”
