Piece of the Week: Etho Maria’s Showgirl-Approved Ruby Drop Earrings
Taylor Swift dons the vibrant pair in new promotional imagery for her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” set to release in October.
Just after midnight on Monday (12:12 a.m., to be exact), Taylor Swift took to social media to announce her 12th studio album, followed by a title, track list, and official cover reveal on Wednesday evening when she joined boyfriend Travis Kelce on his show “New Heights” as a guest—her first-ever appearance on a podcast.
A handful of promotional imagery was released as well, including three alternate versions of the “The Life of a Showgirl” (TLOAS) cover art.
The visuals are peak glamor, featuring Swift adorned in dramatic head dresses, feather accents, sultry crystal embellishments, and Deco-inspired jewels.
The vibes are reminiscent of the iconic scene from her Bejeweled music video, where Swift and “Queen of Burlesque” Dita Von Teese perform the dancer’s signature martini glass routine.
While the color theme of this new era is a glittering Aperol orange, our Piece of the Week is a deep red, the Chiefs-coded hue she leaned into for sporty-chic game-day jewelry looks throughout football season last year.
But, this featured piece is no casual matter.
In one of the promotional images for TLOAS, Swift is in a maroon ensemble that fashion commentator Sarah Chapelle of @taylorswiftsyled identified as a version of a romper from The Blonds Fall/Winter 2024 collection, “Fuego.”
It was styled with our Piece of the Week, a pair of ruby drop earrings from Athens-based brand Etho Maria.
The luxury piece features 38.88 carats of rubies set in 18-karat rose gold dipped in black rhodium.
It comes from the brand’s “Vibrant” collection and is priced at $51,700.
Several other statement pieces are also featured across the new album photos, including diamond and colored gemstone jewels from Lorraine Schwartz.
On the official cover art, Swift wears a vintage piece from Stephanie Gottlieb (who also designed the custom “87” necklace the singer wore to the 2024 Super Bowl), as well as an 18-karat white gold and diamonds domed stretch bracelet (totaling 19.25 carats) by Zydo Italy.
On the track list photo, she’s styled in a pair of Zydo Italy diamond earrings.
“The Life of a Showgirl” is set to release on Oct 3. and is available for pre-order now on Taylor Swift’s website.
More information about Etho Maria is available on the brand’s website.
