The Can’t-Miss Events of 2024 New York City Jewelry Week

This year’s festivities include more than 100 experiences, such as designer showcases, panel discussions, and even a treasure hunt.

New York—New York City Jewelry Week (NYCJW) is returning for its seventh annual showcase, set to take place Nov. 18-24.

Co-founders J.B. Jones and Bella Neyman launched NYCJW in 2018 to bring the jewelry industry together and invite the public “behind the diamond curtain.”

This year’s programming caters to collectors, tastemakers, designers, brands, and fine jewelry connoisseurs, offering more than 100 experiences categorized by one-time events, on-going events, and virtual events.

The 2024 theme is “Wonder & Wander,” which organizers said celebrates the multifaceted nature of jewelry as both art and personal expression, with “Wonder” a reference to the details of craftsmanship, while “Wander” alludes to the journeys behind the jewelry.

Exhibitions, collaborations, designer showcases, shopping events, panel discussions, and more will be held, hosted by luxury designers and brands such as David Yurman, Solange Azagury-Partridge, and Nigel O'Reilly, as well as experts like Marion Fasel and Stellene Volandes.

More than a dozen talks and exhibitions will be hosted at NYCJW partner venues like Pratt Institute, The Jewelry Library, the Museum of Arts and Design, and UrbanGlass.

Many events are free and open to the public, while others require a purchased ticket, a fee, or registration in advance.

“It is incredibly exciting to hear directly from the artists and designers who create the jewelry that we place on our bodies every day,” said Neyman.

“These aren’t just objects of adornment but heirlooms we’ve bonded with, so to have access to these individuals is really thrilling. But even beyond this, for one week out of the year, NYC becomes the jewelry capital of the world with events featuring local and international designers around the city.”

In case you need a place to start, National Jeweler has noted a few events we think are worth marking on your calendar.

Jewelry Treasure Hunt
Before you venture into this week’s schedule, you may want to first make sure you’re signed up for the Misfits in the Wild treasure hunt.

After signing up, participants are provided with a treasure map leading them to participating retailers across the city, each of whom has a QR code to help the treasure hunter unlock more clues, as well as exclusive offers and discounts.

Participants who scan all of the QR codes are automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win a diamond from Misfit Diamonds.
