ICA Congress Goes to Brazil
The 20th ICA Congress is slated for May 19-22 in Brasília, Brazil.

The event is slated for May 19-22, 2025.
The theme is “Gems for Generations,” with a focus on sustainability throughout the colored gemstone supply chain and building consumer confidence to ensure a lasting legacy for the global gemstone industry, ICA said.
“Hosting the ICA Congress Brazil 2025 is a great honor and an opportunity for Brazil to showcase its rich gemstone legacy to both national and international audiences,” said IBGM President Roseli Duque.
“The theme, ‘Gems for Generations,’ perfectly aligns with Brazil’s dedication to sustainability, ethical practices, and ongoing quest for excellence within the gemstone industry.”
The event will host keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking events designed to address critical issues facing the gemstone community currently and in the future.
The full program will be announced in the coming months.
The ICA Congress Brazil 2025 follows the last year’s event during which 150 delegates from 25 countries gathered in Dubai in February 2023.
Its theme, the “Future of Coloured Gemstones,” will continue to be discussed in Brazil, expanding on the evolving landscape of the colored gemstone market.
The upcoming ICA Congress will mark the third time IBGM has hosted the event in Brazil.
ICA noted that the location provides an ideal platform for knowledge-sharing and networking among professionals from across the globe.
“The ICA Congress Brazil 2025 is a great opportunity for the colored gemstone industry to join together and what better place than in Brasília, a modern city renowned for its culture, design, and architecture,” ICA President Damien Cody said.
“Centrally located in gem-rich Brazil, it is also the perfect starting point for the ICA post-congress tours.”
Additional details and registration information for the ICA Congress will be released in the coming months.
