JCK Announces 2017 Vegas Show Date Changes
The JCK Las Vegas and Luxury dates will shift due to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
Norwalk, Conn.--To accommodate Shavuot, a two-day Jewish holiday, the JCK Las Vegas and Luxury trade shows will change their date patterns in 2017.
Luxury will be open to invited retailers from Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4, and will open to all retailers on Monday, June 5, concluding Thursday, June 8.
JCK Las Vegas will be held from Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8.
Both shows will take place at the Mandalay Bay convention center, where the JCK-owned shows will remain until 2019, when they will move back to the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president of Reed Jewelry Group, which owns JCK and Luxury, said, “First and foremost we wanted to acknowledge and respect our community of observers. Additionally, in our conversations with retailers there was support for moving off of Memorial Day weekend, which we hope will allow those with scheduling conflicts around the holiday weekend to attend.”
The dates for the other jewelry trade shows taking place in Las Vegas during market week also were pushed back due to the holiday. Couture is scheduled for June 2 to 6 at the Wynn Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show is June 5 to 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the new Jewellery Box show also is June 5 to 8 at the convention center.
