They include temperature screenings, a “no handshakes, no hugs” policy, and more.

JCK Las Vegas is slated for Aug. 27-30 at the Venetian Resort and Sands Expo (with Luxury’s by-invitation-only days slated for Aug. 24-26), while Couture is scheduled for Aug. 24-26 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
With registration now open for JCK Las Vegas, show organizers outlined safety precautions for the event in an email sent out Wednesday.
“I share what we’re planning with this assurance: Reed Exhibitions’ No. 1 priority is the well-being of the people who come to our shows,” Sarin Bachmann, group vice president of Reed Jewelry Group, said in the message.
“Based on the recent success running our first live event for all of Reed U.S., JIS Miami, we see a continued path forward for safe, amazing events that may look a bit different than usual but still deliver the important business successes, networking, and education you have come to expect from us.”
Here are just a few of the things Reed has planned for JCK Las Vegas and Luxury:
-- Requiring approved face coverings for all individuals, which must be worn at all times within the venues;
-- Temperature screening upon entry, with anyone with an elevated temperature denied access to the show;
-- Increased sanitization and cleaning as well as enforced physical distancing; and
-- A no handshakes and no hugs policy.
“We’re all going to have to get very smooth at either the elbow bump or air kiss,” Bachmann said in the email.
Full information about the health and safety measures can be found on the JCK Las Vegas website.
