Entering a golden and magnificent place is a merit but it is only the beginning: the real test is knowing how to stay. And Italians know how to do it well.

This is the mantra of Italian companies that participated, from May 31 to June 3, in the last edition of COUTURE, the temple of fine jewelry and luxury timepieces.

Held annually at the luxurious Wynn Resort as the most exclusive and intimate destination for the luxury jewelry and timepiece market, COUTURE is an unmissable event of the Las Vegas Jewelry week.

Before telling about the journey inside the Wynn Hotel, it is good to give some data on the export of Italian jewelry products in America.

Italy vs USA, a Precious Synergy

An increase of 3.4% in the export of Italian jewels to the USA in 2018 compared to the previous year and a slice equal to 9.46% of all the "Made in Italy" jewels exported to the USA, now the third customer for the companies Italian, after Switzerland and France.

Data confirms the importance of an expanding international and, above all, growing market.

Growth that perfectly reflected the success of the edition of COUTURE 2019, characterized by the fusion of luxury, elegance and design of the exhibited products that, according to journalists and guests, this year showed an extreme attention to detail so as to create amazement even in the regulars.

The Extraordinary Italian Jewelry Sparkling at COUTURE

From the very beginning, COUTURE has astonished for the high level of design of the products on display, both buyers and press who attend Las Vegas every year discover what is being exhibited and proposed.

The addition of new brands and new industrial partnerships, as well as the introduction of COUTURE talks, training events designed to fuel dialogue and networking opportunities within the event, have created an engaging experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

Entering the luxurious spaces of COUTURE you discover new collections and precious creations among which shine the "Made in Italy" jewelry brands, able to combine classic design, heritage of traditional craftsmanship, with contemporary style, enriching its design with precious materials and stones of the highest value.

The Winning Made in Italy

Among the Italian brands present, some Italian companies that arrived in Las Vegas stood out for their originality, freshness and style.

Thanks to the
collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group, they presented a popular seminar on industry trends, with a tasty preview of what TrendVision Jewellery + Forecasting, the IEG observatory on jewelry trends, will be presenting in a few months during Vicenzaoro September 2019.

The prestigious maison Antonini, based in Milan, stood out, cutting the 100-year milestone between diamonds and precious stones this year together with Crivelli, who made his unmistakable skills in precious craftsmanship.

The artistic creations of Leo Pizzo, the magic of the Made in Italy label by Giovanni Ferraris as well as the jewel-sculptures of the Alberto Mariani brand flew to Las Vegas.

Walking through the stands, it was possible to admire the contemporary art of Mattia Cielo, a Vicenza-based brand born in 2006, the elegance of Mattioli Gioielli's creations, the special bracelets and rings by Picchiotti and the works of the genius Roberto Coin.

It is impossible not to mention Bizzotto Gioielli and his care for precious details, the novelties of Vendorafa, Superoro and Moraglione or the more classic pieces by the Milanese Misani and Piero Milano up to the Vicenza Pippo Perez or to the jewels signed Consoli and the luxurious Callegher.

The COUTURE Design Awards

The value of the production and design of Italian jewelry has been widely recognized by the COUTURE Design Awards, the most important competition dedicated to jewelry and goldsmithing awarded to the most talented and creative brands in the world, a fundamental showcase for any company in the sector.

The panel of judges, including Amy Lane from Bergdorf Goodman, Liza Urla of Gemologue, journalist Tanya Dukes, Tayloe Piggott from Tayloe Piggott Gallery and artist Todd Reed, decreed the winners among the best creations presented in the following categories: Best in Bridal, Best in Colored Gemstones Above, Best in Colored Gemstones Below, Best in Diamonds Above, Best in Diamonds Below, Best in Gold, Best in Haute Couture, Best in Innovative, Best in Men's, Best in Pearls, Best in Platinum, Best in Debuting at COUTURE, Editor's Choice, People's Choice.
