The sale, which originally was going to take place in October, now is scheduled for Nov. 9 and 10 at Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills gallery.
In addition to jewelry, the selection includes clothing, furs, accessories and photographs that the late actress and avid jewelry collector once had and directly gifted to a former employee.
Included in the jewelry lots is a suite of 18-karat yellow gold jewelry by Zorab.
The set is comprised of a necklace with an oval-shaped faceted citrine surrounded by peridot, topaz and diamonds and ear pendants made with the same gems. The lot is estimated to fetch between $10,000 and $15,000.
The falcon headdress Taylor wore in the 1963 film Cleopatra, which cradles the crown of the head between its wings and is crafted of golden hand-etched and painted leather feathers with gold wire spines, is expected to sell for up to $3,000.
A gold-tone metal bangle worn by Taylor in Cleopatra also is up for sale. The ribbed bracelet has raised details, scarlet-colored painted red bands and balls and dangling lotus blossoms on chains and beaded fringes. The bracelet is expected to garner up to $2,000.
The auction also will offer lots from The Lone Ranger, Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra.
