Headpieces at the Met Gala
Bold headpieces were a trend at the 2015 Met Gala, held Monday in New York, and most of them were so glamorous and elegant that I immediately hoped they would catch on as a trend in which I can partake.

The first one I saw, via Instagram, was Rihanna’s Guo Pei headpiece, which mimicked the design embroidered on the train of her dress.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore a fiery (literally, it resembled flames) headpiece, custom-made by Philip Treacy.

Selena Gomez wore one made up of white orchids, while Kate Hudson went with a floral wrap headband that encircled her updo.

Vanessa Hudgens took a more low-key approach to the crowned look with a sequined, netted hairpiece paired with black shoulder-dusting earrings. Model Chrissy Teigen was another gala attendee who had a more casual approach to the headpiece trend, with a flower adorning her pinned-back hair.
